Fashion | The Palm Print Maxi

The one when I'm inspired to inspire you because everyone deserves to feel fabulous, whatever the weather...

Maxi Dress // Simply Be
Demin Jacket // Next (last year)
Sandals // New Look Wide-fit
Handbag // New Look

Simply Be ranks high when it comes to shopping for fashion forward plus-size clothes for me. I love flicking through the 'Get The Look' section on the site and I'm a regular refresher of their Instagram hashtag. So it was the perfect place to shop for a summer maxi dress. The bold graphic print of the dress I chose is so different to my usual wardrobe. I can be quite a plain Jane but with the beautiful sunshine that's hit the UK recently and wanting to embrace the corners of my curves, I took a leap of faith. It paid off, I think.

The shape of the dress is dreamy, with an elasticated waist to nip and tuck in all the right places and a cheeky side split to show off a little below-the-knee leg and keep you cool. At 5ft 6" the length is on point, it doesn't drag on the floor but it doesn't swing a round your ankles. I paired the it with flats for a day time look but you could probably get away with a small heel to dress it up.

Please take a moment to have a nose at Laura, Callie, Danielle and Naomi, the girls that gave me the confidence to stand at the side of a road (a very quiet one) with my arms and double chin out whilst my boyfriend took snaps of me to post online. Honestly, it feels SO scary but wonderful and freeing at the same time.
