Don't mind me, I'm just about to eat my words. I recently said I didn't think my face fitted in the world of BB creams but of course, that was before I stumbled across the Vichy Normaderm BB Clear...
BB cream is a multi-functional cream that has both make-up and skincare properties. Pretty much the same as a tinted moisturiser, no? The two aren't as similar as you may think; tinted moisturisers tend to be thin in consistency and lack pigmentation, BB creams are like their completely opposite twin sister.
Vichy pitched their new BB cream to treat, protect and moisturise skin without clogging pores (those pesky pores) whilst offering a natural looking coverage. It's formulated especially for oily skin but I'm coming at you from the perspective of a dry and super duper dehydrated skin sufferer. Hey, if it works, it works. The light liquid cream feels silky on application and because of it's moisturising elements it's easy to blend. Unfortunately, it's only available in two shades; light and medium, which is a bit disappointing considering how many different skin colours are out there. Luckily for me, medium suits my tanned complexion.
Wear time is an all important factor for bases. I don't want to be touching up my make-up through-out the day because my face has eaten it, hell no. As I expected, the lightweight cream doesn't out shine my usual foundation but it's not bad. The skin benefits really tick the boxes for me, containing salicylic acid and zinc to prevent and control spot outbreaks. If you're looking for a fresh faced base then a tube of this may be for you.
