I'd seen it on the site before, fell in love with the chic frill shoulders but decided I could never wear an outfit like it with my body shape. Although I'm on my journey to accepting and loving my body, I'd be lying if I said I don't doubt myself sometimes but luckily this playsuit came along and reaffirmed my belief that we can wear whatever the hell we want.
I enjoyed a date night wearing this monochrome get-up and felt fabulous and confident for the first time in forever. I've discovered a flaw to the playsuit though, one that neither my size or my bladder enjoys; it doesn't have a zip or buttons at the side. I don't know about you but my head is considerably smaller than my stomach but it seemed the neck hole was the only way in. With the help of my boyfriend and a balancing act that wouldn't seem out of place at a circus, I managed to get in through the wide leg hole which prevented the neckline from becoming stretched. When I eventually made it in, the playsuit was super comfortable and the jersey fabric really soft and stretchy.
As I've mentioned in my previous outfit posts the Evans blazers are just amazing. I love how you can add them to any outfit and it instantly brings it together. They are a fab buy and they wash really nicely, I'd recommend them to anyone. I asked my sister-in-law (is it okay to call you that Sophie? You might might as well be) if it was too early to start buying ankle boots for A/W yet. Of course it isn't, what was I thinking, so I excitedly bought the seventies inspired fringe boots I'd be eyeing up in New Look. Part of the Wide Fit range, they are comfortable, trendy and basic enough to be added to any outfit. I can already feel I'll be getting a lot of wear out of them as the months get colder and I'm a little tempted to purchase them in the tan colour too.
