Christmas | A Ciate A Day: The Ultimate Subtle Glitter Nail

Ah, the rise of the beauty advent calendar hasn't gone unnoticed by any beauty lover this year. What better way to countdown to Christmas than opening a window to a beauty treat every day...

The Ciate Advent Calendar (£49) was the belle of my ball last year, although unfortunately I couldn't get my hands on it. Without a doubt, it was the one I reached for to bring in the festivities this Christmas. Packed with 24 pretty polishes, the calendar makes the most perfect present for a gal who wants to top up their nail stash or just discover new hues as the party season hits. And you can never have too many nail polishes, right? December may already be upon us but the calendar is still available to to buy.

So far, I've had six days of dreamy discoveries behind the doors on the calendar and oh my, one pair of hands and feet just isn't enough. As I've said a thousand times, I live for glitter, so the three sparkle polishes I've found so far are a welcome addition to my nail polish collection. With 18 days to go, including a biggie on Christmas Eve, I know I'm going to need to replenish my nail polish remover as there will be no stopping me from getting glossy every day.

Ciate 'Cutie Pie' and 'Snow Globe' are a darling duo that belong to one another. Like when two become one, the clear glistening glitter sits perfectly on top of the pretty pale milky shade. Glitter can be a little IN YO FACE but there's no reason why an understated sparkly nail can't be modest and work-appropriate. A mixture of small and chunky silver and iridescent particles make up the glitter topcoat (which isn't that hard to remove - thank you) so it effortlessly compliments a minimalist nude.

Follow me on Instagram where I'm revealing which pretty polishes come next and sharing some of my manicures on the countdown to Christmas.

  1. I don't tend to paint my nails because I have gels but this is such a great value box for what it is. I opted for the M&S one to have a mixture of beauty products x
